Dumont Dentist - Jeffrey Manheimer, DMD
Our dental office is now open.
We hope you and your family are doing well and staying healthy. Thank you for everyone’s patience and support the last few months. Many things have changed in our daily lives, but our commitment to you and especially to your safety and health has not wavered. Lots of things have changed due to the Coronavirus and we have many additional protocols in place for your safety.
New Policies for Patients:
Our waiting room is now your car. You will have to call us, 201-384-2112, when you arrive and we will tell you when to enter the office. This avoids contact with other patients.
There will be a short questionnaire: Within the last 14 days have you experienced: Fever above100 F, reoccurring cough/sore throat, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, flu-like symptoms, abrupt loss of smell and/or taste, close contact with a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 patient or traveled outside of the county. We will not be treating patients who have any COVID-19 symptoms or any potential risk factors.
Masks: Please arrive at your appointment with a mask on. A scarf, bandana or homemade mask will be acceptable. We will provide you with a disposable mask if you do not have one or forget. We will also be giving you shoe covers.
Temperature will be taken upon entry with a touchless thermometer. If your temperature is above 100 degrees F, you will be rescheduled.
Hand Sanitizing: We will ask you to use our hand sanitizer upon arrival.
Social Distancing: We ask that you do not bring guests with you to your appointment with the exception of adults accompanying children and those needing assistance. This recommendation is to reduce the number of people in the office and to limit exposure. Anyone entering the office will need to have their temperature taken regardless if they have an appointment or not.
Oral Rinse: You will be given antibacterial antiviral rinse prior to treatment. This extra rinse is a precautionary measure which has been shown to reduce oral bacteria and pathogens.
Air Filtration: Hepa units with high evacuation suction will be placed in front of your face if any procedures are expected to create aerosols. Hygiene will also have high evacuation suction devices.
Our staff will be masked and gowned with face shields. Do not be intimidated. Our goal is to provide the safest, best dental care possible. We realize this is a tremendous inconvenience for all of us. Don’t neglect yourself. Oral health is important!
Looking forward to seeing you soon.
